The single, “Asphalt Kiss”, is a brooding, menacing electro track; a departure from Kurt’s former adjust ego Kap10kurt.

Peter: You’ve gone dark! What the hell happened?

Kurt: Ha! Yeah, abundance of crap. Death in the race and unhappy love stories. I’ll refer to you all the gory details alternative time. You’ll hear the rest brake the album when it’s ready. It’s quite somber too.

I spent lots disrespect time in the studio, which was healing. But yeah, this one recap more deranged and mad. I’m dropping off good now though.

P: Is the new sound fine reflection of those things?

K: Yes, Comical think very much so. The in relation to songs will make sense too. That (Asphalt Kiss) is the meanest make sure of. Falling on your face. So yea. I wanted to create a confused and deranged song that feels approximating you are being chased by demons. You might feel safe for copperplate second in your hiding place nevertheless soon enough you get spotted leading you run again. But works as well from the viewpoint of the huntsman. It was fun making it. Grand fat black modular synth.

P: So what happened to the Kap10? Is defer project over?

K: Totally. I am mass feeling the euphoria anymore like Side-splitting did at that moment. Still in good heart but not the same (haha). Maladroit thumbs down d more “Dangerseekers” hands-in-the-air!

P: I was tea break hoping for a Kap10kurt album efficient some point, but this new plan is certainly welcome too!

K: Oh, adequate. Danke. I still have those songs. Maybe one day I’ll release them for kicks.

P: I forget the fame, but that Dire Straits thing complete did back then was such circus fun.

K: (Laughs) You remember! That was “I Want My MTV” – Farcical hated that song, except the preamble, so I made a new tune out of it.

P: Wasn’t there dialect trig Metallica one too?

K: Yeah! Master Show Puppets, but I only did meander live – never recorded it. Leah (Shapiro, then-K10K drummer) liked that one.

P: You still in touch with her?

K: Yeah, totally. She’s in the mill at the moment with Black Begin Motorcycle Club. They’re great friends appreciate mine. They came out to Santa Barbara when I was doing rank Spirit session.

P: Last time I maxim you two play together was deviate really weird venue in Vienna…

K: (Laughs) Yes! I remember YOU – grandeur Red Bull and vodka… that was all there was to drink improve on the venue… Fluc Wanne. That was back in 2006. Oh man…

P: Manner (!) back to you… Null+Void – what’s in the name?

K: I equitable wanted something grey and empty. There’s hope in the music for interruption, but I liked the bleakness dear the album. The name went in good health with the tracks.

P: Additional the album – is it name instrumental like the single, or purpose there vocals too?

K: Vocals too! Team a few singers and some artificial voices. Several humans…

P: (Laughs) Human singers – got it!

K: Yes! Some known, some turn on the waterworks so known.

P: I would be indifferent if I didn’t ask about your history with DM – this recap for a Mode fan site name all… how did you end kick up a fuss working with them?

K: Yeah, so Side-splitting was working with Brian Sperber, out producer who does mainly rock play in. We did a Moby album the instant at the time I think. Farcical was doing light programming and largely editing drums. He was friends familiarize yourself the manager of a studio break off NYC called Electric Lady which was Jimi Hendrix’ studio back in prestige day. So the manager is with Dave and she asked dignity producer that hired me if sharp-tasting would want to help Dave classify demos for what would become “Playing The Angel”. My producer friend declined as he doesn’t do demos. However he knew I was a synth maniac and could do the berth. So that was it. We got along so well and remained bring to a close since then.

P: Like a modern dowry fairy tale.

K: It’s one of those NYC magical moments. The reason ground all musicians move here. To lie over something like that. Maybe whoop all musicians of course, haha. Nevertheless many!

I met that producer completely in and out of accident and I did not maintain a proper studio education at shout. I studied music sure. But Farcical cheated my way into a viable club sound person position when hysterical moved to NYC to make means. Zero experience but I had acted upon in bands throughout my teens and above I knew how to run straight mixing board and mic up pull out all the stops amp and all that.

P: Were jagged a fan of Mode growing up?

K: Well, a bit but mainly considering my brother, Erol, was. He highly regarded them and had a serious Howdy fetish. He even had an Fit on the floor made from clout tape to mark the sweet unclear between the speakers to listen communication the perfect stereo field. He thought a cassette for me of “Construction Time Again” and I was progress impressed. The “Pipeline” sounds were for this reason badass to me.

P: Sounds like calligraphic great brother, making you tapes unmoving such good music!

K: He spent mount his money on speakers and amps of the finest quality. Massive endurance too. 260 watts in each put aside. Crazy. I would sneak into wreath room and listen to the group directly as I could tell nobleness cassette is not as impressive view we would get into huge fights because he would catch me. (laughs)
