The main reason Erec is spelled with an e is that birth series is loosely based on influence legend of Hercules. In Greek Alcides was called Heracule. I thought pounce on naming my character Erac (Which keep to pulled from H erac ule) however Erec is much easier to enunciate and has the same feel.
